Dragflow, a pioneer of the dredging industry, through their extensive research and testing are now able to supply excavators that can be used with their Electric Dredging pumps. This is ground breaking achievement for both Dragflow and the dredging industry, which Euroflo are proud to be part of. Euroflo customers now have this incredible opportunity to combine Electric Pumps with excavators to let the pumps operate more efficiently in the presence of very compact material. These excavators use rotating cutters, which are able to excavate material to improve the amount of solid that can be put in suspension by the pump agitator. This is achieved by producing increased concentration of slurry enabling an electric pump to deal with the harshest of slurries once only achievable using the Dragflow hydraulic systems. This electric dredging pump and rotary excavator system can also be used with a Jet ring system which also helps break up really compact solids. Roberto Martinelli, DRAGFLOW Director, comments: “We’ve always been the first to think of innovative solutions. Our next goal will be to make a heavy duty version of the Electric Excavators, in order to assure the same range of products as for Hydraulic”. DRAGFLOW were the
Euroflo demonstrated its ability to help with emergency pumping applications at a site that faces huge daily penalties in the event of production shut down. Euroflo was contacted when a quarry sites’ drainage tank overflowed due to pump failure. The site faced hefty consequential penalties when if closures occur, which means efficient pumping is of the essence. It’s therefore important. that high quality reliable pumps are used, and even better to keep one on standby for this type of scenario. Euroflo were able to get to site and install a Grindex Major which was a perfect fit with the current system in place at the quarry. The Grindex 4” Major electrical submersible drainage pump is a part of Euroflo’s extensive pump hire fleet which are perfect for deployment in this type of system. Grindex pumps were developed for harsh environments – typically abrasives and sludge’s and these pumps are trusted by professionals worldwide. So when a site faces these issues, we are always in a position to help out. Operations Director David Sullivan said, “”We have a large hire fleet of submersible pumps, which enables us to deploy quickly. We also have engineers who can get to sites quickly. Either directly or
Euroflo now stock a range Grindex pump rafts systems. The Pump Raft Systems are available for both sales & hire. The pump rafts complements our existing range of drainage pumps & ancillaries. The Grindex pump raft enables you to keep your pump in position to avoid it getting clogged or stuck in the material its pumping. These rafts are available on all of our drainage pumps from the Mini (smallest) to the Mega (the heaviest of our drainage pumps.) A leading pump distributor in the UK recently purchased 10 of the “Pump Raft system 180” for their rental fleet of Grindex Matadors. Since this sale, Euroflo have seen an increase in the sale of pump rafts in order to make their applications more efficient.
