Euroflo is ready for the switch from red diesel – Our pumps are already HVO fuel compatible. As part of their climate change initiative, the UK government announced it would be ending entitlements to use red diesel by April 1st 2022. This change is meant to incentivise the agricultural and construction sectors to improve the energy efficiency of their vehicles and machinery, allowing the UK to meet their 2050 goal of net zero carbon. With this change comes the need to look elsewhere for alternatives that burn cleaner, but are still easy to use and offer a similar price point. Here’s our suggestion: HVO Fuel. What is HVO Fuel? Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel, also referred to as “Green Diesel,” is a second-generation biofuel, meaning it’s produced from plant and animal waste. Hydrogen is used as a catalyst to remove the oxygen molecules from the fats in the oil, creating a diesel alternative without the use of fossil fuels. It is considered a drop-in alternative, meaning it can be used in existing tanks without any retrofitting costs. It is completely compatible with existing fuel logistics and can be blended at high percentages with traditional mineral diesel.
Euroflo now have a range of diesel pumps available for hire. These pumps are available in 2″-8″ and all accessories are available. A complete list of pumps can be seen as follows: We also offer a range of Betsy type pumps for hire in the UK & Ireland. For more information, contact our sales team today on 0800 054 62 69.
We are pleased to announce the new Grindex Softstarter. The new soft starter, a breakthrough from Grindex, enables the smooth acceleration of the motor and protects your pump. The supply voltage to the motor gradually ramps up during start and thereby reduces current, mechanical stress, equipment wear and thus the number of unplanned service stops. This generates a lower start current than with a direct-on-line start and reduces load on supply mains, perfect for Grindex drainage pumps! These Starters Standard factory settings for typical pump applications and adjustable settings for special pump applications. Don’t forget, all Grindex Pumps come with the following as standard: Phaseguard – ensures that the pump will not operate if one phase is lost from supply main during startup. Rotasence – ensures correct motor rotation. This means that the pump always delivers full capacity without overload. Reduced mechanical stress on pump and pump system lead to lower maintence cost. Temperature Guard protects the pump from overheating. Easy to install, “Plug and play“. Built in overload protection. Robust construction. No moving parts. Dragflow, a pioneer of the dredging industry, through their extensive research and testing are now able to supply excavators that can be used with their Electric Dredging pumps. This is ground breaking achievement for both Dragflow and the dredging industry, which Euroflo are proud to be part of. Euroflo customers now have this incredible opportunity to combine Electric Pumps with excavators to let the pumps operate more efficiently in the presence of very compact material. These excavators use rotating cutters, which are able to excavate material to improve the amount of solid that can be put in suspension by the pump agitator. This is achieved by producing increased concentration of slurry enabling an electric pump to deal with the harshest of slurries once only achievable using the Dragflow hydraulic systems. This electric dredging pump and rotary excavator system can also be used with a Jet ring system which also helps break up really compact solids. Roberto Martinelli, DRAGFLOW Director, comments: “We’ve always been the first to think of innovative solutions. Our next goal will be to make a heavy duty version of the Electric Excavators, in order to assure the same range of products as for Hydraulic”. DRAGFLOW were the
